How to Block Porn on iPhone (2026 Guide)
A step-by-step guide to fully blocking pornography on iPhone using Screen Time, Safari restrictions, and LockIn so you can't undo it on a weak day.
How to Block Porn on iPhone (2026 Guide)
If you've tried blocking porn on your iPhone before, you already know the problem: you set the restrictions, then you remove them an hour later. The issue isn't Apple's tools โ it's that you hold the passcode.
This guide shows you exactly how to lock down your iPhone properly, and how LockIn closes the last loophole: you knowing the passcode.
Step 1: Open Screen Time
Go to Settings โ Screen Time. If it's off, tap Turn On Screen Time.
Step 2: Enable Content & Privacy Restrictions
Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and toggle it on.
Step 3: Block adult websites in Safari
- Tap Content Restrictions โ Web Content
- Select Limit Adult Websites
- Optionally add specific sites under Never Allow
Step 4: Block app installs and deletions
- Tap iTunes & App Store Purchases
- Set Installing Apps to Don't Allow
- Set Deleting Apps to Don't Allow
This stops you from re-downloading Safari alternatives like Chrome, Brave, or Telegram.
Step 5: Set a Screen Time passcode
Tap Use Screen Time Passcode and pick a 4-digit code.
This is where most people fail. If you set the passcode yourself, you can remove it yourself.
Step 6: Lock the passcode with LockIn
LockIn generates a passcode that you never see, locks it for a duration you choose (1 day to 1 year), and only reveals it when the timer ends.
That means: - You can't turn off Screen Time - You can't whitelist a porn site - You can't reinstall a browser - You can't delete the blocker
Common questions
Does this work in incognito? Yes โ Safari's "Limit Adult Websites" applies to private browsing too.
What about other browsers? Block app installs (Step 4) so you can't download Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Opera.
Can I unlock early? No. That's the entire point.
